The Vierdaagsecamping since 1977
The Four Day Camping has been around since 1977. The campsite was originally located in Lent and was called Four Days Camping Lent. After moving in 2018, it was named De Vierdaagsecamping. The campsite was founded by Willem and Gemma Kuipers. In 2014, Jeroen Toonen took over the campsite from them. Under his leadership, the unique atmosphere and familial character have been preserved. For four decades, De Vierdaagsecamping has stood for conviviality, hospitality and quality.
A Pop-up Camping, exclusively during the Four Days Marches of Nijmegen
The Vierdaagsecamping is a temporary campsite that opens each year exclusively for the Nijmegen Four Days Marches. We organize the camping especially for walkers, their caretakers, and supporters. Despite its temporary nature, the campsite offers the same amenities as a permanent camping site, including clean and well-maintained sanitary facilities, reception, security, and restaurant.
Ideal Location for walkers and their Supporters
The campsite is close to the start and end points of the Four Days Marches, 10 minutes by bus and 20 minutes by bike from the center of Nijmegen. An ideal base for runners and spectators alike. Since 2022, the campsite has been located on the Griftdijk.
