The Vierdaagsecamping is conveniently located just 20 minutes by bike and 10 minutes by bus from the start and finish (6.5 km), below you will find all information about our location.

The Vierdaagsecamping is just a 20-minute bike ride from the start/finish at the Wedren. We build the Campsite here once a year on a beautiful, vast meadow especially for the Four Days Marches. An excellent cycle path from the campsite along the Griftdijk takes you to “de Snelbinder”, the cycle bridge over the Waal that takes you to the center of Nijmegen. On “Elst Day” the Four Days Marches pass by just 1 km away from the camping. This is the ideal day to invite friends and family to come and watch! By booking a single overnight stay, visitors can also stay overnight.
Route description
The campsite is located on the Griftdijk in Nijmegen on Perceel De Grift. Please note that before you enter the campsite, you must check in first. The check-in location is at the “back entrance” of our campsite.
From the A15:
The Griftdijk is a very busy road. So make sure you don't just cross over but turn via the roundabout. This is how we prevent dangerous traffic situations.
Are you coming from the other side of the Griftdijk or Stationsstraat?, then you'll be hit from the roundabout and you can navigate from step 3.
Parking camping guests
Are you coming to De Vierdaagsecamping by car but haven't you booked a parking ticket when you made your reservation? No problem, you can purchase these separately here via our reservation system. The parking tickets are limited. Upon arrival, it may no longer be possible to purchase a parking ticket for the entire period. So reserve it in advance!
Parking day visitors/supporters
If the car only stays 1 day because someone is dropping you off or picking you up, or if you have family or friends visiting during the week, you can park the car nearby. Follow the signs for 'day parking Vierdaagsecamping'. There are only a few parking spaces available for day guests at the campsite itself.
Car-free
Please drive at walking pace around the campsite. The speed limit is 10 km/h. After the arrival days, the campsite is completely car-free. To load and unload the car, we ask you not to park the car on narrow roads and not leave it unattended.
The easiest way to reach the start and finish is by bike. From the campsite you follow the spacious cycle path from the Griftdijk to Nijmegen-Lent Station. There you cycle onto the De Snelbinder bicycle bridge. The bike ride takes about 20 minutes. If you are not able to bring your own bicycle, you can rent one from our partner Nijmegen Actief.

Bus to the Wedren
During the Four Days Marches, bus transport company Breng will facilitate additional early buses to get to the Wedren. With the so-called blister pass (available at our reception), you can travel unlimitedly with this bus during the running days. In the early buses, you cannot use a normal public transport chip card or debit card! The bus stops at a stop just 200 metres from the campsite (Stationsstraat/Griftdijk stop, Oosterhout). A Blarenpas costs €37.45 to and from the campsite in 2025. Line 414 leaves the campsite stop at 03:23/04:38/05:42 and arrives about 15 minutes later at the Nijmegen, Centr stop. East (St. Canisius Single). More information will be available from the month of June on the website of Bring. You can also find more information in the special Factsheet. The blister pass is available at reception on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (wooden cabin next to the restaurant).
For the way back, you can use line 14 Arnhem CS, boarding at Nijmegen CS. It departs twice an hour.
Regular Bus
You can also take the regular bus. This bus departs from the same stop as the shuttle bus, 200 metres from the campsite. The name of the bus stop is Stationsstraat (Oosterhout), Nijmegen. The current schedule is best viewed at www.9292ov.nl.
For the way back, you can also always use line 14 Arnhem CS, boarding at Nijmegen CS. It departs twice an hour.
