Location

The Vierdaagsecamping is just a 20-minute bike ride from the start/finish at the Wedren. We build the Campsite here once a year on a beautiful, vast meadow especially for the Four Days Marches. An excellent cycle path from the campsite along the Griftdijk takes you to “de Snelbinder”, the cycle bridge over the Waal that takes you to the center of Nijmegen. On “Elst Day” the Four Days Marches pass by just 1 km away from the camping. This is the ideal day to invite friends and family to come and watch! By booking a single overnight stay, visitors can also stay overnight.

At the Citystore in Nijmegen at the Big Market Square you can receive more information about the real pearls of the city and get inspired by the stories about Nijmegen and surroundings. Moreover you can buy unique products in their store. The address is: Citystore Nijmegen | Grote Markt 17 | 6511 KA Nijmegen. On Monday and Tuesday they are closed, all other days of the week they are open between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Directions
The campsite is located at the Griftdijk in Nijmegen.

Please note: before you drive onto the campsite, you must pass by the check-in first. This year the check-in location is at the "back entrance" of our campsite. Follow the signs 'check-in Vierdaagsecamping'. First navigate to Garagebedrijf Zaat at Griftdijk 234. To the left of this address is a side street that you can drive into towards check-in. Are you coming off the A15? Then first drive to the roundabout just after the gas station, turn at the roundabout and drive back to the campsite. This way you enter from the correct side of the road and no dangerous traffic situations arise.

Parking for camping guests
Are you coming to De Vierdaagsecamping by car, but have you not yet booked a parking ticket when making your reservation? No problem, you can purchase these separately via our reservation system. The parking tickets are limited and gone = gone. It may no longer be possible to purchase a parking ticket for the entire period upon arrival. So reserve this in advance! 

Please drive at walking pace on the camping site. The maximum speed is 10 km/h. After the arrival days, the campsite is completely car-free.

Parking for day visitors / supporters
If you are only staying for 1 or 2 nights or if you have family or friends visiting during the week, you can park the car in the day car park across the street. This car park is free.

The easiest way to reach the start and finish is by bike. From the campsite you follow the spacious cycle path from the Griftdijk to Nijmegen-Lent Station. There you cycle onto the De Snelbinder bicycle bridge. The bike ride takes about 20 minutes. If you are not able to bring your own bicycle, you can rent one from our partner Nijmegen Actief.

Bus to Wedren
Bus transport company Breng facilitates extra buses to get to the Wedren during the Four Days Marches. With the so-called blister pass you can travel unlimitedly on this bus during the walking days. The bus stops at a stop just 200 meters from the campsite (station Stationsstraat, Oosterhout). In 2023 a blister card costed €36.25. Line 414 leaft the campsite stop at 03:27 / 04:42 / 05:46 and arrived at the Wedren about 10 minutes later. In 2024 we expect te same departure times. More information about the bustimes will be available the end of June 2024.

Regular Bus
You can also take the regular bus. This bus leaves from the same stop as the shuttle bus, 200 meters from the campsite. The name of the bus stop is Stationsstraat (Oosterhout), Nijmegen. It is best to view the current timetable at www.9292ov.nl.

In 2023 it was possible to go to return from the Wedren to the campsite at 2 stops. More information about 2024 will be available in the end of Juno 2024.

At these stops you could take line 331 towards Velp or line 14 to Arnhem. Both lines departed twice an hour.

For the return journey you could also use line 14 Arnhem CS, boarding at Nijmegen CS.

Train
Check https://www.ns.nl/ for the special timetable during the Four Days Marches week or ask reception for arrival and departure times.
